YSL Mascara

So I've heard that the YSL mascara that Rachel Zoe uses is the best... Well some may still be looking! It is a bit clumpy, so you must use the trick my sister told me about after you put it on. You simply bat your eyes against the mascara tube to even out the clumps. After that, it looks amazing!! So if you don't mind doing that every time, then it is great! (I do still love my Diorshow for everyday use!!)

Ann Taylor Loft

It may sound weird to some, but I just walked into The Loft and found the cutest stuff!! I am always searching for the perfect shorts and I think I just found them!! And even better... They had them in fun colors and prints... Bonus!!

What are you giving up for Lent

Well, I actually hadn't thought about what to give up for lent until Meebs came in and told me what her good friend James Ragan was giving up. (James is my new friend I told you about who has been battling bone cancer since he was 13.) There are actually a lot of things I could give up, but I decided to join him in giving up "cancer"! He has asked anyone to join him in giving up not the physical cancer, but the need to have what others have. There is no need to want the life that others have, or the want to be able to do what others do. Let's be happy with the way our lives are and accept the cards we have been dealt. Let's live our lives and be happy with who WE are! Let's not waste our time and energy on putting down others or being jealous. Let's all give up "cancer" and live OUR lives!!

Wedding Slideshow

Well I finally figured out how to make a slideshow all on my own!!! Now let's see if I can pull this off... Or else Christina will have my head! Haha jk! I think it's going to turn out great!!

Last Minute Wedding

I had a blast with Tiff at the wedding! I finally got to meet James Reagan who has been battling cancer, yet has the most amazing personality and positive outlook on life! He has been raising money for cancer and going to college! Just such an amazing story! Anyways, the food was delicious, especially the pasta bar. It was funny when I looked over at James' full pasta plate, and then Tiff and I had the tiniest portion of pasta... And mine was soaked in oil! It was still good though ;)

Starbucks

So I told myself I would go back to my less caloric double short Americano... But I couldn't resist that peppermint mocha!! I just love when you take that hot sip and then get that cool surprise of the whip cream... It's just pure yumminess!!! And then to top it off, Tiff decided to pick up bagels for the store... Now I really can't resist a sesame bagel!! Ahhh again, how am I supposed to stick to my diet with all that and the temptations of all the good food at this wedding tonight!! Ohh yeah, I'm Tiff's last minute date to a wedding that she has to go to tonight. At least I can get some good ideas for my future wedding... And maybe a little dancing! ;)

So I just decided that Pepsi makes the best diet soda! ( It only took me a few years to decide that!) It's an exciting life I lead... ;)

Happy Valentines Day!!

Starting my day with a wonderful Starbucks espresso!! Off to work, where I hope lots of last minute husbands stop by for some V-day gifts!! And hopefully Phillip will surprise me with some romantic dinner... We'll keep our fingers crossed!! 😘

Spotty Dishes

I have tried everything, and this is the only thing that will keep my dishes from getting that white, spotty stuff in the dishwasher!! I have to use the Lemi- Shine in the main compartment and my normal powder soap in the pre- wash part.

Dinner & Wine

Enjoying a new wine and new meal!! I decided to finally open the red 2008 Stags Leap that Phillip's uncle gave me... And it is delicious! I know it doesn't really go with my meal, but that's ok ;) I decided to make a healthy almond crusted chicken, sautéed okra, and sautéed sun dried tomato polenta!! For the chicken I used whole wheat flour, almonds, egg whites, and various Italian seasonings! Let's hope dinner turns out well!

Dinner

Another successful made-up dinner! Phillip convinced me to make mac&cheese... And there was nothing healthy about it, well I guess the whole wheat pasta. I was inspired by my leftovers... My creamy creation consisted of heavy cream, yogurt butter, Italian blend cheese, Parmesan, fresh sage, crushed pecans, Italian seasonings, fresh garlic, and a little bit of truffle oil! It was delicious... And I definitely regret NOT going to the gym!!! I will for sure go in the morning!!!

Dinner

I made up a recipe for a cream sauce and it was delicious!! I used evaporated milk, fresh sage, asparagus, a little bit of Parmesan cheese, diced organic tomatoes, fresh garlic, a little bit of crushed pecans... And all sorts of dried Italian seasonings! Ohhh it was delicious!!

It's amazing how wonderful and happy a peppermint mocha can make you feel.... :)

Parking

Please respect that there are other people who park in this lot... Which means not to take up two spots under the car port... That PT Cruiser will be just fine next to another car! Besides, that was my spot for the last two years before you showed up lady!!
